Are you lonely; are you depressed? Are you thinking about committing suicide? Well, stop….think again.
Whats up? I am Jared Laskey of Fireborn Ministries wanting to encourage you from the New Testament of the Bible. In a letter to the Philippians, chapter 4 verse 8, the writer said, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.”
When we are feeling lonely or depressed, we should remind ourself what this verse in the Bible says, in thinking about God and godly things, instead of focusing on the negative. Because I am speaking from experience, when i focus on God, I become positive and my thoughts become good and my actions start showing that I have a better outlook on life as I become friendlier with other people. You can have the same, right now at this moment, starting thinking about what is excellent and praiseworthy, start thinking about the beauty of Heaven and on the One Who Sits on the Throne in the middle of the Heavenly city. See how your thoughts change? See how better you may feel. So, ask God to help you think on Him and His truthful and right and noble things.
Whenever you start feeling negative, down and out, or suicidal…stop….think again. Think on God. And go get professional help. It’ll be the best thing you did as you walk the road of thinking on God.
